Last Friday, I decided to make another dress from the Stylish Dress book; the cover dress.
Eli wanted to help. He almost ate the pattern, but I stopped him. I used this absolutely gorgeous vintage flower fabric from Tilda Fabrics from her new LemonTree line.
I have made this dress before, and I stuck with the same size and shape. I think I’d like to play around with the neckline of it, but for now, I love this result.
Sometimes you just have to wear Birkenstocks with socks…when it’s still 50 degrees outside.
The way the pattern does the pleats is very easy to execute. And it’s my favorite part of this dress. I did the pockets in the same fabric, so they are a bit camouflaged.
Remember if you buy this book, add your seam allowance. And the sizes are smaller than you think. (ie…this is a 16, and I normally wear a 12.)
What did you wear today? Something fun, I’m sure!!!
Stay tuned for a very fun post on Friday!!! You’ll love it…here’s a sneaky peek:
Have a wonderful week!!
Blessings,
