Ohhh I’m excited to get back to posting on Fridays here on Sally’s Angelworks. I’m excited to list out what I want to finish this year. And I’m super excited to actually finish projects this year!!
So for the first quarter, I’d love to finish some pretty big hefty projects that I’ve been working on for a while now! Please forgive the fact that I’m still posting some of the same projects that I posted last year. It’s time to stop the distractions and get some awesome finishes done!
The first big project I have to finish in the next 6 weeks is our homeschool’s support group’s yearbook from last year. 2017 threw me for a loop, and I did what any other self-respecting digital designer does: I put the big project on the shelf. But it’s time to actually get that puppy put to bed!
My 5+ quilting projects that I want to finish this quarter are as follows:
My double wedding ring quilt for my brother and sister-in-law. It’s time for them to have a bed quilt, don’t you think?
Second, the Houston Modern Quilt Guild 2016 quilt – the top is done! I just need to embroider and quilt…and it goes to a darling friend (thus, the lack of the full pic!!) for her birthday. (Omgoodness…i need to finish stuff!)
This is just a small piece of the 2017 Houston Modern Quilt Guild Mystery Quilt. I’ve finished 4 sections and have two more to finish before this month’s meeting. So only 10 more blocks…for the top finish, anyway. This one is for my bed! There are a LOT of sheep on this quilt. 😉
Ohhhh this Cottage Quilt. I wish I had finished more this past December. But I have most of the houses put together. This will definitely be done soon!!
My Urbanologie BOM from Intrepid Thread last year is ready for me to finish it, too! I always get behind in September with BOMs. This year, I’ve chosen to have more accountability, so that I don’t get behind again. Feel free to ask me how I’m doing here!! 🙂
I have two more quilts that I may or may not finish this quarter. Let’s see how these projects go! I’m going to do it this year. I can feel it. I’ve been using a planner regularly for a year now, and I’m in a great groove with that good accountability.
And I just have to share these two pictures:
June 2007 – over 10 years ago!!! (from this post!!)
This past December 2017! We even added a member. I love family before/after pics!
I’m linking up with the FAL gals HERE and Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it Friday! Join me in finishing this year!!! yay yay yay!!!
Blessings,
They’re all such lovely patterns (and gorgeous fabric too), I can see why you’re feeling inspired to get them all through the finish line – good luck!
Thanks, Carie!! I need all of the luck (and prayers!) I can get! Blessings!
Awesome projects Sally! And I LOVE your before and after pic! How fun! Peace and love, Laura
Thanks so much, Laura!!! HUGS!!
I’m popping over from Amanda Jean’s 🙂 Wow – you have a lot in the works! The double wedding ring will be fantastic. It’s crazy how retro it looks (with all those new fabrics!)
I had to really look for you in the second picture – you’ve aged backwards! I thought you were one of your girls grown up!!
Happy sewing ~ Tracy
Awww! Thanks so much, Tracy! and Thanks for the encouragement. Blessings!
