Ohhhhh we are cooking along with our Pixie Summer Home Quilt Along! We are almost in the last stretch! How are you guys doing?
I’m a bit behind, BUT we built in some time for finishing, so I should actually finish right on time! We have more prizes to give away, so make sure you comment and you link up with us in the next month!! π
This week, the last block pattern, the Star Block:
Julie has come up with such a fun design! And when you chain piece, you can whip through these all at once.
I am still learning all about “scant” 1/4″ seams , so forgive a couple of my points. I may have overcompensated with some scantness! LOL!!
I love these little blocks! And the Pixie Noel fabric is perfect for little blue stars. If you need some Pixie Noel fabric, grab a layer cake right HERE in the store!
Again, here is my layout:
Right now, all of my houses are made, but I need to make 4 more tree blocks and 4 more star blocks. Hopefully, I’ll have some great sewing time next week!!

Be sure and check out Brooke and Julie’s blogs for more Pixie Summer Home fun. And every comment you leave is good for an entry for prizes, so please let us know you’ve visited.
If you are sewing along, link up with us right here this week. I’ll have a giveaway of some fun scrap bags and a mystery envelope next Monday to encourage your linking! π
Praying you’re getting way more done than I am…Can’t wait to see your progress!! π
And please post on IG tagging #pixiesummerhomeqal .
Blessings!
I love your layout, never thought of turning it! Your Christmas fabrics & colors are just great. I chose non-Christmas fabrics with July 4th in mind, as the stars reminded me of fireworks.
Your design is awesome! Making me rethink my Farmhouse layout – glad there is time. Also secretly happy I am not the only one behind though I wish I had more hours in a day.
The star blocks are so sweet!!
How long do you leave the link open? I am lower than tar but I finally have the houses and trees done. I hope to start on stars tomorrow, they are darling and I love your layout but I’ve missed all the other links and I would like to actually get one in officially. I’ve really enjoyed making the blocks and hope it will go together nicely. Thanks.
I love house quilts and yours is beautiful! I need to go back and save the patterns so that I can put it on my Need-To-Do list! π
I’m always fascinated by the block construction. This block does not seem too difficult to make.
