Ohhhhhhh we made it!!!
Be sure to check out Brooke and Julie’s blogs, too!!!
I’m thrilled to report that I have my top done!! yay!!! And I have some time scheduled for the long arm to actually quilt it. Super excited about that…but first…let’s talk design.
I had originally wanted to do this design with my blocks…
I only cheated a little bit! I added a LOT more Kona Snow to the top (none on the sides) and I kept to my one star block. Life has been steam-roller-ing me lately, and I needed a finish! Even if it just was the top.
I’m soooo excited about this.
Here you go!!
I will probably bind with strips of the stripes. What do you think about quilting ideas? I’ll probably do an all-over design, but I’m open to something else. I’ll also probably embroider something on there, too.
This is my favorite block! Ohhhh those pixies!!! (above)
And I love love love the size of this. It’s a “Burrito” quilt…see my youngest all “burritoed” in it as she takes it up the stairs to hold it for my pics (below).
Yep, the perfect size!
So now, the LINKY!! Show us what you’ve done on your Pixie Summer Home Quilt Along!! We’ve seen some finished quilts, lots of finished blocks, and comments about great participation. Link up here to win the grand prize!! The grand prize includes fat quarters, lots of fat quarters, patterns, and some fun mystery items (think wonder clips…oooooo!!!!).
I’m also giving away a pattern and two charm packs for a random winner from the comments on my blog throughout the whole quilt along! yay!!!
Link it up!!!
Thanks for sewing with us this summer! You are an amazing community. Don’t forget to check out Julie and Brooke’s blogs to see their progress!!
Blessings!!!
I may have mentioned before that this was my first QAL and the ride was so enjoyable all due to your, Brooke and Julie’s passion and creativity in moving us along! Your design came out great – glad you were able to finish it!
Look forward to seeing everyone’s final pics in the Linky.
It was so fun to see everyone’s blocks – I watched from the sidelines this time as I had too many commitments! This project is on my to do list!
I couldn’t make anything but it was fun to read all the posts! I was just happy to be inspired to create.
