I’m so excited to join Brooke and Julie in bringing you the Simple House block today in our Pixie Summer Home QAL.
Remember my full quilt layout that I’m whipping up…
I’ll be making 6 of these simple house blocks. (PDF pattern link is at the bottom of this post!) I’ve actually already made two if you’ve seen my sneaky peeks!
Here are my two that I’ve completed:
One thing I love about this block is how you can fussy cut the door!! It’s awesome!
I am using Kona Snow for my background.
And I have a treat for you. Later today, I’m putting three layer stacks of this gorgeous fabric, Pixie Noel into my Etsy store so you can use the exact same fabrics that Brooke and I are using! If you love what Julie is using, RUN to her store and get the fabrics there, too! If you want to do both, go for it!!! ๐ (I’m considering it, but don’t tell anyone!! I have so many WIPS as it is!!)
Here’s the link to the awesome pattern for this first block:
Run over to Brooke’s blog and leave your link with your progress (or your current WIP) to win a prize. Also, each comment you leave on my blog (on the Pixie Summer Home QAL posts) will enter you in several giveaways of mine!! ๐
Don’t forget to post your progress on IG and tag #pixiesummerhomeqal
Happy Sewing!!!!
and blessings!
I love the layout of the quilt with the mix of houses, trees and stars!
Love the different Christmas colors you used – bright & cheery anytime of year!
Oh this looks like fun!
Ok- I’m sold on this basic house block– they look so cute! I need to raid my stash and get going on these.
Really great fabric. What size is your quilt going to be?
Thanks for asking, BillieBee. My finished quilt should be 60″x45″. Happy sewing!
Love your layout. How fun to have all three of you chiming in . It makes it more exciting and fun. Thanks.
As you said, these are like potato chips – can’t make just one! I finished block 2 (and posted it on Julie’s blog)…I have started picking personalized fabrics to make this into a housewarming present for my nephew – how perfect it will be for him!
I love the fussy cut doors!!
