Happy Friday! It’s fun to celebrate the finishes. Even though I posted all of my first quarter finishes yesterday, I thought three of the projects deserved their own post with a few more detail pics!
I am in love with this mini quilt.
You’ve seen snippets of it on the blog for a while, and I was very blessed to actually finish the binding last week!!
I quilted it on my domestic machine (Janome 6600) and left the zigzag unquilted to make it pop out! Love!!
The quote is from the great hymn How Great Thou Art. I drew the design and then embroidered it. I was inspired by this artwork here by StumpandScript. So inspirational!!
This sweet little table topper was my sample project for my Sticks quilt. When Windham Fabrics asked me to interpret Marcia Derse’s pattern, I needed to see how I was going to put this together and then write the actual pattern. I used this Creative Thursday fabric to make some sample rows. When I figured it all out, I abandoned my rows. But now…they are all sewn up into a fun table topper!!
I quilted this on the long arm. Love the stitch regulator. I just can’t say that enough!!
And for my finale on this post…my Fall Forest quilt (pattern by Adrianne Ove)! I cannot wait to wash it and watch all of the crinkly goodness appear!!
I actually quilted a quote at the bottom of the quilt –
“Not all who wander are lost.”
It’s JRR Tolkien and a personal favorite.
Such a beautiful quilt! I really love the look of negative space on quilts.
And of course, teal being my fave color…well, that just about says it all!
And look at who helped me bind this one…(below)
oh this Eli is growing fast!!!
Guys, I’m finishing! Aren’t you excited??? And I have a bunch of new projects on the horizon, too!!
Be sure to check in tomorrow for a special post!! A shop announcement and a FREE PATTERN!!! YAY!!!
I’m linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it UP Fridays.
Blessings!!
