I'm so thrilled to be a part of Gina Martin's From Bump to Baby Blog Hop this week!!
Be sure to read down to the bottom to see what goody you have a chance to win here!
My project this week is a Mini Baby Quilt Triptych.
Let Her Sleep
I found this quote decoupaged on a piece of wood on a Pinterest pin here, and I instantly saw a baby quilt design. But I wanted to add the fun element of quilted mountains. Thus, the three quilts were born!
A few tips…
To accommodate the size of the letters on the top quilt, I had to split the templates onto two sheets of printable paper. You will need to match the two pieces (there is plenty of overlap included) and cut away the extra to trace!
Embroidery is at the heart of most of what I do. Embroidered text is a very large part of my voice! If you are not as into hand embroidery and would like to do raw edge applique for the word mountain, open up a new Word document and use a thicker font such as Century Gothic Bold; print. Follow the directions for the other small letters for adhering it onto your mini.
speaking of mountains…
The mountains themselves are also improvised. I played with fabric until I liked the look of which mountain was on top and how tall they were. You can adjust that before you even cut the fabric by using freezer paper. See the pattern for more detailed instructions!
Download the pattern which includes the templates right here!
And now for your gift from Gina and me!!
I am giving away a layer cake of this fabulous fabric!!! Yay!!!
