So many things I want to say today…but alas, not enough time to say it.
So I take a minute just to jot down a couple of things that have been ruminating in my mind!
I got my teeth cleaned today…and the news (as usual!) wasn't really good. (Anyone got a money tree?)
My darling dentist and I had a quick chat about what to do about the mess. My mouth has always gotten me into trouble (family, don't comment on that, please! LOL!!!). And really, I get anxious and worried and *GASP* cranky when I have to deal with my teeth.
But as I was thinking about the road to recovery I needed to walk and how hard it seemed, I thought about all of the brokenness in the world; the hopelessness, the violence, the uncertainty, the yucky stuff that I don't even want to mention here in my creative blissful place.
I turned to my dentist and I said, "If my teeth are my worst problem,…" "Then you don't have a problem," she answered.
I share this quick insight into my life to share the hope that I believe in. That source of hope can take care of the worst situations in the world down to my little ole teeth.
It's such a joy to sit in the middle of that hope while dealing with the craziness of life: kids' not finishing school ("show me your list!!"), feverish son (off to the doctor!!), music lessons ("Where is your music?????") and those beautiful, polished teeth!
I know where my hope is!!! How about you?
Romans 15:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Blessings!!!
Beautiful post, thank you so much. I needed this today. x
well said 🙂
Sweet friend, I’ve always loved your smile! Hope does not disappoint, but when Hope is deferred, it makes the heart sick, but a smile is good medicine! (I know…too many buts…but…it is true.) Your smile is good medicine!
