{finish it friday…jack’s version!}

Do you know what Girl Scouts and Weight Watchers have in common?

Weird way to start a Finish It Friday post, huh?

Well, I was thinking about how I am finishing things and crossing lines off of my to-do lists and how I want a Badge saying "I finished this week!!" That made me think of when I was in Girl Scouts and how I'm in Weight Watchers and how you do get rewarded for doing something spectacular!!!

My posting on Fridays is my badge, for sure! And another reward this week was even better!!!

Five years ago, my best friend, Melanie had her sweet boy (5th child!!), Jack!! He is a sweetie pie and is all boy!

This year, for his 5th birthday, we celebrated with a combined Superhero/Pool party here at the house! It was superhero fun!!!!

(his sign says "I'm Batman!" and Melanie's shirt says "Bat Mom"!! so fun!!!)

When Mel was pregnant, we threw her a fun shower. Each of us signed a block for us to make a quilt for him! My darling friend, Dixie, sewed up all of the blocks and put a border on the top very soon after the party. Then it was my turn to quilt and bind it…5 years ago!!!

I finished it!!!! LOL!!!!

…and gave it to them!!! Jack will have fun reading all of the messages to himself…when he is bored of all of his superhero legos and other fun toys he got! ♥

I did learn not to use water soluable markers when doing a signature quilt!! We'll see how it fares!!! I sprayed it with water resistant spray, and Melanie probably won't put it in the washing machine any time soon…lesson learned!!! ♥

I do think it's kinda funny how everyone in my house thinks this is a Christmas quilt. Red and white does not equal Christmas, guys!! It does equal bliss, though!!!
