Amidst this crazy week, I did have a finish…a BIG finish!!
This is my Bass Studio Quilt! It's 95"x94"!!!
The bass player in our band (and my daughter's bass teacher) needed a new quilt for his living room couch because his girlies kept stealing the one that lived there.
He has this awesome rug art on his wall, so I created a quilt that had the same geometric feel…
For the middle panel (because I'm totally into medallion quilts! :)) I appliqued a bass clef onto the cream fabric and embroidered the words "The Bass Studio" in the middle.
I used the new American Made Brand solid fabrics! I love how they look after quilting and washing…so snugly!!
And speaking of quilting…
My darling friend and neighborhood long arm quilter Pam Quiltaholic did a fabulous job quilting all over with a fun geometric quilting pattern! I was super impressed with how she changed color of thread on each patch of fabric. Amazing!!!
And she did some awesome musical quilting around and in the bass clef…
Awesome job, Pam!!!!!
Love a good geometric pattern…
…and a finished quilt!!!
I have two more finishes that I'll post about on Sunday!!!
So fun!!!!
Linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday!
Blessings!!
Great job matching up to the artwork! Can definitely see the inspiration there!
Love it. Great job!
Wow. He must have loved it!
Thanks, Joanna! Isn’t it fun to see inspiration in different textiles?
Thanks, my darling friend! Your part is so amazing!!!
Thanks, Kay! Yep, And he’s trying to keep his girls from stealing it, too!! ♥
