Balance!! That's what I'm in the middle of…trying to balance it all!
Oh boy, I'm so thankful for this coming week's holiday!! (see what I did there?)
Because of this holiday week, I've had a little bit more time to craft! Yay!!
But before I show what I've been working on, I have to show you my mini quilt for the Schnitzel and Boo Mini Quilt Swap!
Remember how I got this fabulous quilt from Tina?
Well, I sent a fun little red and white number to my new IG friend, Synnove!!
I started with Ayumi's pattern for the Swedish Bloom in her Patchwork, Please book (worth getting right now!!). And then I went from there! so fun!!!
I had read that Synnove really likes vintage buttons, and I had just gotten a bunch at Round Top. I love to share!! ♥
My fave part is the handquilting!!
Actually, my fave part was that she loved it!! All the way in Norway!
Fabric bundles to quilt top:
So excited to have this Modern Maples top done! If I get all my work done tomorrow, I'll be quilting tomorrow night! yipeeeeeee!!!
Here's my art journal process…I've been working on it daily!
(…from the class 12.31: doodling your december by Dawn DeVries Sokol)
(I've actually added more paint since this pic! It's definitely a process!!)
My color inspiration page!
Friday, I bought more paint colors that fit that color inspiration page!!
And last night, I painted some of the pages…
So fun!!! I'll finish painting the other pages tonight!!
I was sifting through fabric last night and tried to begin to organize what I had! eeeek!! I need a new system. I'm gonna have to figure it all out for sure!!
I love fabrics, though! And I'm really looking forward to using different lines together for a fun pop of fresh modern feel in my quilts! Color is so refreshing!! 🙂
Especially that red and teal!!
What are you inspired by today???
{my flickr mosaic for our HMQG ornament swap at our Christmas party here in 4 weeks!! eeeek!!}
Hope your week is wonderfully restful and full of creativity!!
Blessings!!
Really nicely done, Sally.
love your mini quilt so much 🙂
