This is an awesome journey…exploring wonderful quilt block patterns…
It's Monday, so it's time for a block from a book. Today, I picked Amy Ellis's book, Modern Basics II:
I love the patterns in this book. They are well put together, wonderfully intricate, but not too hard for those of us who like instant sewing gratification! LOL!!
I picked this block from the quilt called Sunrise. All together, these blocks are gorgeous, aren't they??? I was inspired by the pink and orange, so I used pink and orange for mine, too!
Isn't this fun??
So, one of my new "resolutions" is to pay much more attention to detail…to match points a LOT better than I normally do in my rush to finish 50 million projects!!
Yes, my seam ripper is my best friend right now. And that's okay!!
I could have matched up the dotted lines, but I love the randomness of blocks and how they fit together.
I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day as I am…
Now I'm off to piece together two baby quilts…
…out of this fabric!!
You are going to love tomorrow's block!!
See you then!
blessings!!
beautifully matched points 🙂
