Ohhhh it feels so good to have a BIG project finished!!!
This was one of my 13 in 2013 projects, and I'm happy to say, it is finished, delivered and on the college dorm bed!! yay!
So for high school graduation, I made some quilts for my daughter, her bff and her boyfriend! I kind of underestimated the size needed for my daughter's boyfriend's dorm bed. Yep, he has a pretty cool throw for his couch now!
Wanting him to have a handmade quilt for his dorm bed, I started on this quilt last year.
I got the top done by his April birthday (at which I didn't take a pic….hmmmmm) and, then in May, I had major help at the HMQG retreat to pin baste it…
and then this past week, I finally quilted it…
…and had a lot of fun binding during the Texans game last night (where they annihilated the Cowboys!!)…
and it's done!!
I was too short on a step stool to get it up high enough! LOL!!
We packaged it all up and took it up to campus…
…where it looks great on his bed!!!
And now he'll be warm in style!!
Love this finish!!!
What are you finishing this weekend??? Hopefully lots of fun stuff…slowly, right???
I'm playing with these fabrics this weekend…YUMMMMY!!
Blessings!
